Broome County Sheriff’s office responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash on the highway eastbound between exits 71 and 72 at 2:25 a.m. and found the Durango stopped in the left lane, stuck against the concrete median.  They found the tractor trailer a little further to the east on the shoulder of the road.

Authorities say 38-year-old Shane O’Connor, who was driving the Durango said he wasn’t hurt but Deputies said they detected signs of intoxication.

Investigators say O’Connor’s blood alcohol content was measured at two-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Neither driver was injured in the crash.
