Let me set the scene:

It's Thanksgiving. The spread of food is immaculate. The turkey is a perfect golden brown. The mashed potatoes are creamy, yet dense enough to cradle the pool of gravy you have created. It is going to taste heavenly.

You didn't taste any of it though, because you ferociously shoved the meal down your gullet without so much as one single taste bud being able to register what you just ate. Why would you do this to yourself?

Because football is on.

The annual family game of post-Thanksgiving meal cards can wait. There's NFL to watch.

This year especially is a big one. The Bills are getting one of the much-coveted Thanksgiving Day games.

If you are are big fan of the Buffalo Bills, you may need to do some strategic planning of when you will have Thanksgiving dinner.

Take a look at the slate of Turkey Day NFL games:

  • 12:30 p.m.-- Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions -- FOX
  • 4:30 p.m. -- Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys -- CBS
  • 8:20 p.m. -- New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons -- NBC

If you would rather watch college football, you're still in luck. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are facing off in what is known as "The Egg Bowl". That is on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.

But really, it's all about the NFL on Turkey Day. Just remember to wear your elastic pants to save room for pie.
