We all have our favorite television sitcom favorites. Some lasted several years, and some only made it for one or two seasons before being cancelled for whatever reason.

Most of the TV sitcoms shows I enjoyed, lasted several years. I would have to list my favorites in no particular order as M*A*S*H, The Office, Hogan's Heroes, All In The Family, That 70's Show, Parks & Recreation, Friends, Cheers and Home Improvement to name a few.

There were several more in the 60s and 70s that I enjoyed watching more than the 80s through today's current line-up of sitcoms. It got me to thinking about what if any of these shows were to get a re-boot, would it work?

We've seen a few TV sitcom re-boots that did well, while others failed miserably. I enjoyed the re-boot of Roseanne, which now is titled The Connors. Friends is scheduled for airing sometime in 2021, but it's more of a reunion show, not a series re-boot. Walker, Texas Ranger is coming back in 2021, as is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ren & Stimpy, The Hardy Boys and Battlestar Galactica among others.

It will be interesting to see how TV viewers will take to these re-boots. There has been talk among fans of The Office to come back as a re-boot, but as a fan, I don't see that as a good thing. As much as I loved the show and it's characters, I think the 9th season wrapped things up nicely, and anything beyond that would just not be as good. In my opinion, most times when a TV sitcom ends, it's best to leave it at that. Do you agree?
