Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville is getting sweeter this weekend as it kicks off Halloween with its annual Trick or Treat events. Unlike some spooky attractions, this one is all about fun, candy, and family-friendly fun. It's one of the first Halloween celebrations in the community, and the park is going big this year.

A Weekend Full of Treats

Families will have three chances to join in on the fun throughout the weekend. On Saturday, October 18th, the park will host a daytime Trick or Treat event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a special Nocturnal Night Trick or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The celebration continues on Sunday, October 19th, with one more daytime session from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Every event will have around three dozen trick-or-treat stations filled with candy, books, and other goodies for guests to collect.

Volunteers Traveling from Near and Far

This isn’t just a local effort. Volunteers and supporting organizations from across the country, including places as far away as Kansas and Florida, are coming to the annual tradition. Park owner Jordan Patch says this will be the largest trick-or-treat celebration in the park’s history and that he’s humbled by how many groups have stepped up to help make the experience safe, fun, and unforgettable for guests.

Tickets Required Before You Go

To make sure things stay comfortable and well-stocked for everyone, Animal Adventure Park is asking guests to buy tickets ahead of time. This helps control crowd size and makes sure that there is plenty of candy to go around. Tickets and full event information can be found at www.theanimaladventurepark.com/events.

Closing the Season, Opening the Next

Once Trick or Treat weekend is done, Animal Adventure Park and The Preserve Safari will close for the season at the end of the day on Sunday, October 19th. But they will be back when they reopen on November 7th to kick off its festive Jungle Bells holiday season.
