As the HAWK counts down the year's biggest songs, we're also revisiting some of the best interviews and biggest music stories of the year on 'Country Countdown USA,' Sunday night 7-10pm on 98.1 The Hawk!

Blake Shelton was making headlines in 2015. He had this to say about this year and next: "All the awful things that happened in my personal life this year, but the way the year has ended is also the greatest year in my life. Sometimes you don't know who is in your life that can save you. I found some people who've changed my life. I'm taking my life and putting it into music. When people hear my next record, they may not know what happened to me, but they'll know how I felt about what happened to me. That's exciting for me to just lay it out there for people."

There were three major country star weddings during the year, and CCUSA host Lon Helton spoke with the three grooms. Jason Aldean told Lon about his hairy minister, Willie Robertson: "To me, it meant a lot to me to have a friend there to do this, it was cool, the wedding was small, just family and close friends in the wedding party. It was nice."

We caught up with Brantley Gilbert the day after he returned from his honeymoon. Lon noticed that he scheduled his Georgia wedding the day after he played a concert in Seattle: "That was an accident! When I looked at my schedule, I didn't have any Saturdays free. But the day I looked at it, I saw I was in Washington, so I figured Washington DC was a hop skip and a jump. Then when I found out it meant Seattle, it was too late. But we made it work. I asked her if she worried, and she said she never did cause she knew my life depended on it."

Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard got married in July, and afterwards he told Lon, "Yeah man, got married, it's been amazing, what a great day, great experience, married life is great, couldn't be any happier."

Carrie Underwood told Lon that she & her husband are interested in having more children. "If you have one, what's two? Might as well."

Early in the year, Lee Brice sang a song he wrote, "More Than a Memory" on stage in Boston with Garth Brooks. He describes that experience. "He says to me, speaking of work, how do you feel about working tonight?"

Taylor Swift isn't in the Top 70, but she sang with several people who are, including Sam Hunt, Kenny Chesney, and Kelsea Ballerini.

Dustin Lynch talks about celebrating his 30th birthday on stage with Luke Bryan.

Easton Corbin talks about meeting Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Darius Rucker talks about having dinner with Clint Eastwood.

And Canaan Smith celebrates his first #1 by speaking with Lon & his co-host Jason Aldean. Jason once recorded a song written by Canaan.

Sunday night at 7 the HAWK will feature a bunch more stars featured in Part 2 including Eric Church, Keith Urban, Brett Eldredge, Chase Rice, Chris Young, Tim McGraw, Cole Swindell, and more.
