20 Northeast PA School District to be Closed Next Week

The Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19, which includes 20 school districts in northeast Pennsylvania, announced Friday that schools will be closed from March 16-20 out of precaution as coronavirus concerns grow nationwide.

Blue Ridge
Carbondale Area
Dunmore
Elk Lake
Forest City Regional
Lackawanna Trail
Lakeland
Mid-Valley
Montrose Area
Mountain View
North Pocono
Old Forge
Riverside
Scranton City
Susquehanna Community
Valley View
Wallenpaupack Area
Wayne Highlands
Western Wayne

According to a message posted on the organization's Facebook page, the move is being made out of concern for all staff and students.
