I hate talking on the phone. I have to stop what I'm doing and give undivided attention. Not to mention remember what you said after all the tasks I just did. Now, let alone that stuff what if the phone call was someone asking you out on a date? Surprising, and for the girls who get hit on a lot, forward and somewhat creepy!

Researchers at California State University in Sacramento studied how a group of teenagers asked each other out, to see which method was most effective. They found someone was more likely to get a date if they asked someone out with a Facebook message or an email, rather than a phone call or a voicemail.

The researchers say it shows we've gotten much better at conveying emotion with our writing that used to be the big disadvantage of emails versus the phone. They say it's not because of emojis either!  We've just gotten better at picking our words carefully to get our message across.
