A local yogurt company with roots right here in New Berlin, New York is proving to be a company that truly appreciates its' employees.

According to a New York Times article, 2000 full-time employees of Chobani were handed shares of the company "that are worth up to 10 percent of the company when it goes public or is sold."  The gift could make some of these employees millionaires.

Chobani, headed by founder Hamdi Ulukaya, worked hard and almost came out of nowhere a few years back and became one of the leading yogurt companies in a very short amount of time.  Using milk and natural ingredients from New York State, the factory in New Berlin expanded to meet customer demand.

What Ulukaya built is simply amazing in the already crowded yogurt market and the fact that he is meeting with employees this week to share the success of the company he built is something every company CEO should note.  We salute a great local business, Chobani.
