When you were listening to the Hawk Morning Show today, you heard us talk about Yard Sale deals and Garage-sailing.  If you didn't see the guide, check it out here.

Here's a Glenn Pitcher tip for you: If you come to the yard sale at my house and you want a good deal, you should talk to me.  As my kids will attest, I don't say "no" much. If you want a even better deal, then you should come to my in-laws yard sale because I NEVER say no to a deal at their place.  You want a 5 dollar tool set for a buck.....Sold!  They'll never leave me in charge again.

Seriously though, if you're looking for good items that might have hidden value, then you'll want to look for these. Comic books: look for condition, print number and age.

Old Jewelry:  Recently we were given some old bracelets and necklaces as a thank you for a favor that was done.  It ended up being worth over 500 dollars.  Grandma's old brooch might look ugly but if it has gold in it than it could be worth a gold mine.

Zippo lighters: The refillable metal lighters often got ditched in the 50's and 60's.  The ones from 1932 has the highest value.

Good luck and happy yard sale hunting.
