The NY Yankees haven't done a lot off the field for the upcoming year. It looks like it's going to be another year of nostalgia as they honor 2 of the core 4 for the 2015 season.

The Yankees will retire Andy Pettitte's number 24 on August 26th. He'll also get a plaque in Monument Park. Jorge Posada (2 of the core 4) will be honored on August 22nd.

Bernie Williams will also have his number retired on May 24th. Willie Randolph will not have his number retired but will get a plaque in Monument Park on June 20th.

17 numbers have been retired and will probably rise to 20 by the end of the season. They'll retire Derek Jeter's number 2, if not in 2016 then soon thereafter.

The Yankees have room to retire 39 numbers before they run out of enough numbers to fill their 40 man roster. At the pace they are going, it could happen by 2225.

It looks like another year of looking back for the Bronx Bombers instead of ahead. So what do we have to look forward too? A-Rod, Mark Teixeira and Carlos Beltran? Yep, it's time to look back.
