Binghamton police were looking for the driver involved in a downtown hit-and-run incident.

Witnesses said a woman was struck by a sport utility vehicle at the intersection Court and State streets around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The woman - who appeared to be about 20 years old - was taken to a hospital by Superior Ambulance.

People who saw the incident said the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by the SUV.
