Woman Gives Stranger a Kidney, Now They’re Getting Married

It's been quite a year for one Kentucky couple who easily take the cake for having the most romantic year yet. 

A year ago, Ashley McIntyre and Danny Robinson were complete strangers. But a local news station ran a story about Danny, a 25-year-old electrician with a failing kidney who recently lost his dad to brain cancer and his house to a fire, changed all of that.

Danny was in desperate need of a kidney transplant and no one in his family was a match. Ashley saw the news story and was so touched that she got tested to see if she was a match and she was. She said, "Why not give up a kidney to someone who needs it?"

Ashley corresponded with Danny's mom and didn't want to meet Danny until the pre-surgery testing was done and the operation was scheduled. Finally the two met and ended up hitting it off. So after undergoing the procedures, which were both successful, Ashley and Danny started dating. Last Christmas, Danny proposed to Ashley in front of their families and they're getting married. But that's not all. They're also expecting a baby girl in June!
