Sarah Robinson is a Kansas mom who's going through some tough times and she thought things were about to get even tougher after she was caught shoplifting a package of diapers. But instead of going to jail, she was treated to a shopping spree.

Sarah is a widowed and unemployed mom of six kids, including two-year-old twin girls. She says she's homeless, and she and her girls were living out of their car. She went on to explain that she's desperately trying to make ends meet, which is why she tried to steal the diapers.

It would have been so easy for police officer Mark Engravalle to slap the cuffs on Sarah and haul her off to jail, but when he arrived on the scene, he noticed that some of her kids were barefoot.

He issued her a citation for misdemeanor theft and then gave her a huge surprise. He escorted the family through the store and took them shopping. He bought them diapers, baby wipes and clothes. He even let the girls pick out their own shoes.

Sarah told Good Morning America that officer Engravalle, "...couldn't have been nicer to my girls. And then I got a call the next day saying they wanted to help us further and help us get a place to live."

Since Sarah's story went public, the community has been rallying to help her and her family by donating money and other items. Robinson says, "There aren't enough words in the world to thank him enough. Me and my girls are indebted to him forever."
