Fall is finally here and temperatures are in the 60's but the winter weather is on its way. Before you know it, the snow will be flying and temps will be below freezing and that's why Project Concern, 23 Kattelville Road in Chenango Bridge is having their annual winter "Coats For Kids" giveaway.

It begins today, Monday, October 7th and runs every weekday (except Thursdays) until Friday, October 18th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For a $2 donation, you can leave with more than a coat and boots, you can also get snow pants, hats, gloves, and scarves. The donation is to keep the lights on.

Project Concern provides clothing, household goods, and basic necessities and serves Broome, Chenango County, and Tioga County. It's eligible for anyone in need, it's a non-profit organization and is run by volunteers and relies 100% on donations.

With it being 100% donation, if everything is gone before the scheduled time is done, it's over. You can drop off the coats and boots at Project Concern from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

They are still in need of coats, snow pants, hats, gloves and scarves, go here to see how you can help those that are need of your help. To find out more about Project Concern, go here.
