Maybe it's a good thing that the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are beginning their season on the road. They play at New Hampshire against the Fisher Cats on Thursday, April 6th.

The home opener is on lucky Thursday, April 13th against Erie. The week might be the difference on whether or not the new stadium is ready to go in time.

In November, it was announced that a $2.5 million dollar improvement project would take place at NYSEG Stadium. With only a few weeks left, there is still work to be done.

The problem? The weather. Mainly Winter Storm Stella and the three feet of snow that was left behind. There is warmer temperatures now but with the rain, we could see more delays in the construction.

Even with the delays, there is a lot to be excited about. Next Tuesday, April 4th is the Meet the Rumble Ponies Dinner and they'll be announcing the name of the new mascot. The horse has no name and you can help change that by voting here.
