Why Binghamton Loves George Strait

You say the name George Strait to any country fan and you probably will get an immediate smile.  George Strait has brought us more hits than anyone else in country music. Three decades worth to be exact and an amazing 59 number ones to his credit.

So today, I asked Hawk listeners what they liked most about the king of country.  I was surprised to find the answers were very similar for male and female fans.

Fans in Binghamton like the consistantsy of his music and how he has stayed true to his roots.  What's the key to his success?  Listeners pointed out George's longevity may be attributed to the fact that he is not overexposed like some of today's country stars. George typically stays out of the limelight and his interviews are few and far between.

My unofficial survey showed that people really trust George to deliver good country music and most everyone expressed a desire to see him on his farewell tour.
