Will voters in Whotesboro New York vote to change the current village seal that shows a white settler strangling a Native American?  It's that seal that is making national headlines for the little village located outside of Utica New York.

According to the Huffington Post, and Citydata.com, "94.3 percent of the village's 3,735 residents in 2013 were "white alone," with just five Native American residents."

According to the Village clerk, "the seal has changed over the years so that the settler's hands are on the Indian's shoulders and not his neck."

It's may be debatable to some people looking at the image, but most agree it could be taken as offensive.  It will be up to the voters to decide whether the symbol will be changed or not.
