I know I’m not the only one who does weird stuff around their puppy! My puppy lives with my parents and is 12 years old, and she is the love of my life. We got Meadow when I was in high school, and she’s been my best friend ever since.

By weird stuff, I mean mostly doing that weird baby voice! “Do you want a treat, do you want a tweat, Meadow,” I proclaim in a very high pitched voice everytime I go home and see her. My voice instantly changes, I can go from a normal conversation with my parents, to sounding like a Minion in a matter of seconds.

I also give Meadow thousands of nicknames. She is getting old but she’ll always be “puppy” to me. I call her Meady, Meady Anne (yes, she has a middle name), and the weirdest one Puppy DoodleBop. The last one kind of just came out of my mouth one day, and I kept using it!

I feel guilty when I’m away for any amount of time. Since I live about 3 hours from home now, she usually gets a present when I go back into town. I consider that normal. But when I was living with my parents, I would run to the grocery store for maybe twenty minutes and still bring home a present for my pup.

This is all justified because I love my doggy. She has never let me down, and no matter how long I have been away, she always licks my face like I never left!
