What’s Open and Closed for Veteran’s Day

Veteran's Day is Wednesday November 11th and there are a number of parades scheduled to honor our service men and women, including a Binghamton parade Wednesday at 2pm that starts at the American Legion on Main Street and ends at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.

If you're wondering what may be open and closed Wednesday, here is a list:

Banks: Closed.

Financial markets: Closed.

Government offices: City, county, state and federal offices are closed.

Libraries: The Broome County library and all city branches are closed.

Mail: No mail. Post offices are closed.

Mall: Oakdale Mall and other shopping centers are open.

Trash collection: City trash pickup will be on a regular schedule. Other municipal and private haulers may work on a different schedule.
