What You ‘Like’ on Facebook Predicts Your Personality

You probably don't even think twice when you hit 'Like' on Facebook, but now you probably will.

According to a study from Stanford University and the University of Cambridge your Facebook “Likes” can predict your personality.

The researchers say that computers crunching the numbers based on your Facebook activity can judge your personality traits just as accurately as your significant other can and in some cases can even better job than your partner.

People were studies for the following traits: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.

And just as the researchers claimed,  the computer was better at predicting the subjects’ personality traits based on Facebook than the subjects’ family and friends were able to do.

Kind of cool, but also, kind of scary especially considering that computers are only going to get faster and faster and who knows what they'll be used for in the future.
