I'd do both of these.  A new survey asked people whether they'd save a dog that was trapped in a hot car or whether they'd stop to help someone whose car was stalled on the side of the highway. Now, the results have shown one thing that we might have guessed. We care more about dogs than strangers. I believe it's because humans have the ability to help ourselves. We can call for help, we can get a ride we can exit a car and get to a cool place. Animals are at our mercy.

71% of people say they're extremely or very likely to do something to save the dog, whether it's smashing the window or calling the cops.  Only 8% say they wouldn't do anything.

In contrast 29% of us wouldn't lift a finger to help anyone stranded in a car.  30% say they'd stop to help, and 28% wouldn't stop but they would call 911.

To put it in an easy to understand sentence: People are four times more likely to save an animal in trouble than a stranger in distress.
