Sometimes I think words are made up just for the sake of making them up. I think this is one of those times.

A new word has emerged and if you've heard people talking about someone being "technosexual" but didn't know what they were talking about- here's the scoop.

According to Wikipedia a technosexual:

Has a strong aesthetic sense and a love of gadgets. In this sense, it is a portmanteau word combining "technophile" and "metrosexual", which was first promoted by creative professional Ricky Montalvo to describe "a dandyish narcissist in love with not only himself, but also his urban lifestyle and gadgets; a straight man who is in touch with his feminine side but has fondness for electronics such as cell phones, PDAs, computers, software, and the web."

Yeah, it's as strange as it sounds and the reason the word "technosexual" is getting so much hype is all because of a new survey that found  women prefer a guy who has tech skills over a guy who has car repair skills.  In other words, the ladies would rather a guy be able to figure out why their phone froze up, and just pay somebody else to change their oil.
