The Waterfront Art Festival is a fine art and craft show and sale that was started in 1973 on the Canandaigua City Pier. It was held in Canandaigua for 41 years and then moved to a warm welcome in Webster this year. 

The artwork is the star at this Festival. It's a nice combination of live music, food court, artists who demonstrate their skills, and some activities and of course lots and lots of outstanding art with over 150 artists expected.  
Just like the Binghamton area, Western New York and the Finger Lakes region have some of the most talented artists in the country.
The Waterfront Art Festival is this Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm at North Ponds Park, 750 Holt Road in Webster.  One of the things I hear the most about the Festival is that the size is big enough for a great selection but not so huge you're too tired to think by the end of the walk.
Here's what's going on this weekend: 
Saturday Schedule

9:30 am - Shuttle buses start running from Xerox parking lot to the Festival AND on Saturday only - from downtown Webster near the Gazebo on North Avenue to the Festival so you can stay for the Webster Jazz Festival that starts on Main Street at 4:45.

10 am - Festival opens

10:30 am to 1:00 pm - BBQ Blues Band, playing a variety of New Orleans style blues, R&B, soul, and funk.

1:30 pm to 4:00 pm - Features jazz with Bill Tiberio Band, in traditional and contemporary jazz standards.

4:45 pm - Webster Jazz Festival starts on Main Street in Downtown Webster

5:00 pm - Start closing for the night

10:30 am to 1:00 pm Milliagans Island – Milligan's Island is a dynamic acoustic duo that plays an eclectic mix of songs from the 1970's ‘til now.

1:30 pm to 4:00 pm- Country music from the 60’s and 70’s.
