I can tell you firsthand that there's something exceptionally gratifying about helping others with the expectation of receiving nothing in return. More often than not, when you do something nice for someone, it creates a trickle down effect and many lives are affected in a beautiful and positive way- including yours.

If you've got a little extra time this Saturday, January 20th from 8am-2pm, you're invited to volunteer with Southern Tier Young Professionals and Habitat for Humanity crews as they hope to get a good amount of construction done on a progressing Habitat for Humanity property.

The property is located on the corner of Willow Street and Floral Avenue in Johnson City. The work being done this round will be inside the home and if you're worried about freezing temperatures, space heaters will be running. You're still encouraged to dress warmly though.

Coffee, water, and pizza will be provided throughout the course of the day for those who volunteer their time.

If you'd like to help out, you'll need to sign up and also fill out a volunteer form, which you can find here. If there are any fields in the form you're not sure about, leave them blank to be filled out on Saturday. Be sure to take your completed form to the site with you.

In addition to filling out a volunteer form, you'll need to send an email to Kyle Nedlik at kbnedlik@gmail.com before Saturday, January 20th to sign-up. Kyle can also help with any questions you might have regarding this opportunity.
