So the 2016 Binghamton Met baseball season is almost here. General Manager Jim Weed and Events Coordinator Robin Alpaugh stopped by for a visit.

We talk about the "Welcome Back B-Mets" Dinner, the upcoming season and some of the changes that are coming our way next year. It's going to be an exciting year...this and next.

So I have to explain something. At the end of our conversation, I almost call Jim, "Chef Jeff."  Jim is a success story. He began as an intern with the Binghamton Mets. Back in 2001 and 2002, the Hawk Morning Show would do our show from NYSEG Stadium on Opening Day.

The Binghamton Mets would cook hot dogs during the morning show. Jim was the one who would cook them. We would call him "Chef Jeff." I said it was because it rhymes.

We were told that his name was really Jim. After that his name was "Chef Jeff whose name is Jim." It stuck...at least with us.

Although now that he's a General Manager, I just call him "Jim." So check out what's coming up with the B-Mets and see how you could have a hand in re-naming the team and mascot for the team next year.
