A member of a family in Virgil that lost everything yesterday in a house fire, reached out to the Hawk today hoping we could spread the word about a number of items needed by her family so they can get back on their feet.

The Monday morning fire left a family homeless at their home and apartment at 2521 Route 392 in Virgil.

In speaking with a family member this afternoon, her family is in need of the following items:

Girls clothes 12 mon and 4T
Boys clothes 2T
Women's shirts size medium and size 4/5 pants
Men's XLG shirts and 36x32 pants
Children's toys
Non perishable food items
Household items (such as cooking utensils)

Any donations would be greatly appreciated.  Items can be dropped off at Tommy's Hair Salon at 1290 Front Street, Binghamton, from 9am-8pm weekdays and 9am-5pm this Saturday.  All items will be dropped off to the family in their time of need.
