Veteran’s day is this upcoming Saturday. We here at 98.1 The Hawk LOVE our troops and everyone who has served. A lot of my close friends have served and I try and thank them frequently for their service. They make our country great.

With Veteran’s Day does come some free or discounted food for our heroes! I found a great list of grub our veterans can grab Friday and Saturday!


IHOP: From 7am to 7pm our veterans can get a FREE stack of Red, White, and Blue Pancakes or a patriotic pancake combo!

Denny’s: Starting at 5am and going until noon our veterans (active, inactive, retired military personnel) can score a free Build Your Own Grand Slam!

On Veteran’s Day:

Applebee’s: Choose a free meal off a special menu Saturday if you are a veteran!

Bob Evan’s: Choose a free meal off a special menu all day.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans can enjoy a FREE small order of wings and a side of fries.

Friendly's: Veterans receive a free meal off a special menu

Dunkin' Donuts: Veterans can grab a free delicious donut.

Little Caesars: From 11am to 2pm veterans can obtain a free Hot and Ready lunch combo.

LongHorn Steakhouse: If you are dining with a veteran you can receive 10% off your meal. Veterans also receive a free appetizer or dessert.

Olive Garden: Veterans can grab a delicious Italian meal for free off a special menu.

Outback Steakhouse: Veterans can indulge in the classic Bloomin’ Onion with a non-alcoholic beverage for free.
Panera Bread: Start your day off right with free breakfast sandwhiches until 10am for veterans.
Red Lobster: Veterans can enjoy a free appetizer or dessert.
Red Robin: My favorite special! Veterans receive a free Red's Tavern Double Burger and the best part? Bottomless Fries for FREE!
Ruby Tuesday: Veterans can score a free appetizer up to $10.
Texas Roadhouse: Look on their special menu because veterans receive a free meal from a special menu.
TGI Friday's: Veteran’s can grab a free lunch item up to $12 here.
