Veterans 5K Run/Walk Sunday in Hillcrest

A few years ago a friend invited me to join him at the Annual Veteran's and 5K Walk at the Hillcrest American Legion at 363 West Service Road in Binghamton. It was a great experience meeting a great number of local veterans and to see the turnout, made me feel very good about my hometown.

Sunday's 5K run and walk gets under way at 12:30pm with opening ceremonies and once again, the money raised will stay here in our community, helping local veterans and their families in need.

Even if you don't walk or run, you can enjoy a number of other activities to show your support for local veterans including an antique car show, 50/50 raffles, silent auctions, ribeyes, burgers, hot dogs, spiedies and karaoke entertainment.
