I never miss the Greek Festival. Some consider Memorial Day the unofficial kickoff to Summer, whereas, I always think of the Greek Festival as my Summer kick off.  I know what you're saying, how can a church festival be so much fun?  Trust me it is as you always run in to someone you know.

If you like great Greek food, bring your appetite as you will have a hard time choosing between a flavorful chicken or lamb gyro or some more traditional Greek fare like Moussaka, Spanakopita (spinach pie), Laconigo (greek sausage w orange peel).  I always do the sampler platter.  Get there early as sometimes they sell out.

And of course you have to save room for Baklava or the famous Honey Puffs.  Rumor has it, the best Greek chefs come out to volunteer for this event each year.

Then there's beer on tap, American or Greek.  And a nice variety of imported Greek wines. There's also soda, tea, coffee and really good baked goods. Traditional music will fill the air throughout the 4-day festival.
