Surprise!  Another weekend of snow!  I've lost track at how many snowy days the Greater Binghamton has had.  Weekend after weekend, there seems to be a new storm system crossing the Southern Tier of New York and North East Pennsylvania.

Even with the weather forecast, I understand people are heading the movies in droves.  The much hyped '50 Shades of Grey' is sold out at Binghamton and Vestal theaters.  I was trying to find tickets for the new Spongebob movie 'Spongebob Sponge Out of Water,' to no avail.  My guess is adults are heading to 50 Shades and dropping the kids off to Spongebob.  Makes sense I guess.

WBNG-TV Storm Tracker Weather is calling for a Arctic front with snow squalls thru your Valentines evening with an additional 2-4 inches of snow and some areas could receive 1-2 inches an hour.  If this happens, snowfall accumulations by early Sunday morning could range from 4-8”. Overnight lows will drop to around -4 and wind chills may range from -25 to -15.

It will be even colder Sunday. Temperatures will slowly fall through the day and most of the day will be spend in the low to mid single digits. A few higher elevation locations may not make it to 0. Wind chills Sunday could be 20 to 30, possibly 35 below zero with northwest wind gusting as high as 30mph. Frostbite can occur on exposed skin in less than 15 minutes with wind chills as low as this.

Monday will remain bitterly cold with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper single digits to near 10. Overnight lows into Tuesday morning should be around -5. Next Tuesday looks quiet with highs rebounding to around 23. The chance of snow is 20% for next Wednesday with highs around 21.
