Union-Endicott School District Superintendent Suzanne McLeod has been selected to coordinate a Binghamton University program.

McLeod said she plans to remain superintendent through June of next year. She expects the Board of Education to accept her letter of resignation when it meets next Friday.

McLeod will oversee Binghamton University's Education Leadership program starting in the fall of 2019. She said she's already teaching two night courses at the university.

McLeod has been with the Union-Endicott district since July 2003. She has served as superintendent for the past decade.

McLeod said her intention had been to continue to serve as the district superintendent through June 2020. When she learned of the job at Binghamton University, she applied for it. She said she's "very excited" about the new opportunity at the university.
