A monument to World War Two veterans from Union Center is being moved from a mostly nondescript location at the corner of Route 26 North and  Nanticoke Drive.

The stone is now located at the Union Center Fire Department.

For years, many residents complained that few knew the monument was there.

Veterans say the new location is not only more visible but more easily accessed.

A rededication ceremony is planned for Memorial Day.
