U.S. Treasury Reimburses Man Who’s Dog Ate His Money

If you ever wondered if the U.S. Treasury would repay you if your dog were to eat your money, the answer would be yes.

Wayne Klinkel of Montana was given a $500 check from the U.S. Treasury on Monday; months after his golden retriever ate his cash in December.

When Wayne realized what his dog had done, he picked through all of the poo to recover parts of the bills and then carefully cleaned them and pieced them back together. He put them in plastic bags and sent them to the U.S. Treasury in April with an explanation.

For some reason this didn’t work when I told my teacher I couldn’t turn in my homework because my dog ate it.  Then again…it could have been because I didn’t have a dog.
