There are so many bits of knowledge that you should pass along to your kids. Shoplifting and pepper spraying  probably aren’t on the list.

Delaina Garling of Pennsylvania was caught attempting to steal from a Family Dollar store last week. When employees began escorting her out, she tried to pepper spray them. After dollar store workers tackled Garling, she handed the pepper spray to her 7-year-old daughter and yelled: “You know what to do, baby. Spray it!”

The young girl no doubt has a better head on her shoulders than her mom because she didn’t spray it and instead watched as her mom was pinned to the ground until police arrived.

Garling is charged with simple assault, possession of a controlled substance and related offenses. Her daughter was placed in the custody of her father.

Garling proved there are times when you shouldn’t do what your parents tell you.
