Two Opening Days Are Better Then One at Five Mile Point Speedway This Weekend
After a two week wait, it finally looks like it's going to happen. It's the first race of the season at Five Mile Point Speedway and they are rewarding you for your patience with an added race.
The 68th consecutive season begins on Saturday night because two opening days are better then one. The Open Practice session originally set up for Saturday will still happen but it'll begin at noon and go until 3 p.m.
The first official race of the year will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Summer Slam program for Xcel 600 Modifieds and Street Stocks will be joined by the Fantastic Five FWD Four Cylinder along with the $1,000 to win GRIT Crate Sportsman event.
Racing on Sunday begins at 4 p.m. The Crate Sportsman will have their first Sunday Summer Slam event along with the All-Star Street Stock Tour, Xcel 600 Modified Tour, Four Cylinder Open and Factory Stocks.
Don't forget at Five Mile Point Speedway, kids 12 and younger are admitted FREE to every race event. We hope the weather holds and we can finally officially get dirt racing going in the Southern Tier, go here for any updates and directions.
