State police say a man and a woman were arrested after they allegedly stole deposit bottles that had been donated to the Boy Scouts.

Investigators say 51-year-old Gerald Webb and 49-year-old Ann Laurenti of Pittsfield were charged with petit larceny.

Authorities say Webb and Laurenti were arrested after a complaint of a theft from a Boy Scouts drop-off bin on South Street in the Town of Edmeston.

Police say they determined the man and woman had stolen redeemable bottles that had been donated to the Boy Scouts.

Webb and Laurenti were ordered to appear in Edmeston town court.
