The second race of the Modified Summer Slam is this Sunday at Five Mile Point Speedway and tonight is a tune-up for many of the teams. Tonight is also a make-up Conklin Community and Youth Night. Conklin residents and ALL kids 17 and younger get in free.

It'll be a night of features and the Modifieds will have heat races and a full program. Rainchecks from Saturday, July 1st will be honored and the racing begins tonight at 7:30. To find out more about tonight's race, go here.

Then it's Summer Slam on Sunday and Mike Colsten leads the points after one race. The race is a non-handicapped event which means it will be a draw for starting positions. The 30 lap Modified feature event will pay $4,000 to the race winner.

On Sunday, kids 12 and younger will be admitted free. Pit gates open at 3 pm with grandstand gates opening at 4 pm. Hot laps at 5 pm and racing begins at 6 pm.
