I want to thank all of you who made it to the 5K Insane Inflatable. I want to thank all of you who were on our "Suck it up, Buttercup" team.

You helped a really good cause, the YMCA of Broome County. They have many events that you can be a part of as well.

The YMCA is 'Family Fun for Everyone.'  This is how they are different. They are family focused, supportive and inter-generational.

They are community based. They've been serving the community for 150 years and financial assistance is available.

My daughter Riley used to play basketball at the Y and it was one of the most rewarding experiences for her. She still talks about her coach Chris and the positive influence that he had on my daughter as she was learning the game.

I thank him for the positive impact that he's had on her.

They have many events going on including Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 24th from 5-8pm. It's at the West Family Branch YMCA at 740 Main Street in Johnson City.

It's free to the community. If you are interested in hosting a trunk, call Alicia at (607) 772-0560, extension 336.

Go to www.YMCABroome.org to find out more about this and other activities at the Y.

Thank to Dan and the rest of the folks at the YMCA for being a part of the 5K Insane Inflatable. I don't think I finished the 5K as much as the Insane Inflatable's finished me....but I wouldn't change a thing.
