How do we know when the summer is officially behind us? For many it's when 5 Mile Point Speedway has their final race of the year. Well then, summer is over this weekend.

It's the 46th Annual National Quarter Mile Dirt Track Championship Weekend. Racing is Friday and Saturday with kids 12 and younger being admitted FREE both days.

Racing on Friday begins at 6:45 p.m. It features the IMCA Modified and 305 Sprint Car Feature along with the RoC Sportsman Southern Tier 40.

End the night with a Post Race Bonfire on the Backstretch.

Racing on Saturday begins at 4:15 with a special "Trick or Treating" session with the drivers and their cars before the season ending event.

On Saturday Five Mile Point Speedway is hosting the annual Southern Tier “100” Modified event. The “Trick or Treating” with the drivers has become a family favorite over the past few years.

Kids get to meet the drivers on the starting grid for the Modified finale. It's a special Halloween Fan "Meet and Greet" and get their Halloween candy at the same time.

Each driver in the Southern Tier Modified field will have their car on top of the homestretch victory lane ramp prior to the start of the race.
