Adam Richman from the Travel Channel may have stuck his foot in his mouth and lost his new Travel Channel show over a hashtag.

The cable channel announced earlier this week that the premiere of 'Man Finds Food' has been postponed and may be indefinite.

The postponement went down after Adam's rant over using the hashtag "thinspiration" on Instagram. His followers lashed out at him because the hashtag has been linked to people with eating disorders. Adam, who recently lost 70 pounds, responded to one person in an incredibly harsh fashion, saying, "Grab a razor blade and draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you."

The Travel Channel didn't say if Adams razor blade comment led to the postponement, but Adam was fast to apologize, saying, "I’ve long struggled with my body image and have worked very hard to achieve a healthy weight. I’m incredibly sorry to everyone I’ve hurt."

Sounds like some serious backpedaling. And it makes me sad because I really liked the guy, but anyone who'd ever say something like that has lost respect from me.

It's not all bad for Adam though. NBC has announced that it will air his other new show, 'Food Fighters,' later this month.
