October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a lot of events are going on throughout the country and the Southern Tier as well.  One event in the area is Traci's Hope annual fundraiser happening Saturday at the Apalachin Fairgrounds.

Traci's Hope was founded by Traci Gibson after she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.  She fought a valiant fight,  she was so strong that when I talked with her I thought she had completely defeated it. She lost her brave fight 6 years ago this week.  I've known Traci and the Gibson family for many years now and the family continues the fight against Breast Cancer.

The fundraiser goes from 12-6 at the Apalachin Fairgrounds with all proceeds staying in the area to benefit those fighting breast cancer in Broome, Tioga and Susquehanna Counties.  BBQ, music and lots for the kids to do at the event.  There will be a motorcycle ride to Traci's Hope with Hiawatha Motorcycles as well.  Traci's Hope is a not for profit fund to help Men and Women who are going through breast cancer.

The Gibson family would like to thank those who have supported this cause and for supporting Traci's dream of defeating breast cancer.  You can get all the details of Saturdays fundraiser and the other events that Traci's Hope is involved with at www.Tracishope.com.  And as they say at Traci's Hope, "Keep the Dream Alive."
