Trace Adkins to Perform at Taste Of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain

The Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain is June 13-15th.  So far 13 acts have been confirmed with many more to come.What a weekend it will be.  So who am I really looking forward to seeing??????  Trace Adkins.

I've been a big fan of his since 1996 when he came out with his song  "There's a Girl in Texas." It didn't do well on the charts (peaked at 20)

but it's still my favorite song by Trace.  He's had over 30 country hits and has been nominated for 4 Grammys.  I also like that he puts a Gospel song on his albums.  My favorite is "Wayword Son" and I hope that he performs that song during the Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain.

I think the most fascinating thing about Trace is, all the things he's gone through in his personal life.  He used to work on a oil rig, where he was injured several times.  He's had a tractor roll-over on him.  Trace hit a bus head-on, which he suffered arm, leg and rib injuries and had his nose partially torn off.  He was even shot by his ex-wife in 1994.  He also had his house burn down in 2011.

He's not only had success as a singer but he's had roles on TV and in the movies.  His movie credits include The Lincoln Lawyer and Wyatt Earp's Revenge (which also starred Val Kilmer.)  On TV, he was the voice of Elvin on King of the Hill and he had a cameo on Yes,Dear.  His biggest role has been on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. His charity when he participated was for Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.  He chose that charity because his daughter suffers from life-threatening reaction to peanuts, milk and eggs.  He finished 2nd to Piers Morgan.

He wasn't going to return to Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars because he dislikes his fellow contestants.  He changed his mind after the house fire.  He's doing it as a thanks to the Red Cross and all the help that Trace's family received from them after the fire. Omarosa from the Apprentice say's that Trace is a game changer and he changes "The Apprentice" as we know it. The Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars is March 13th on NBC.
