Every now and then, someone will ask me what every happened to so and so, most recently Trace Adkins name came up.  I then went on to say that Trace is still recording, doing awesome concerts and a stagecoach full of movies, including most recently, 'Deepwater Horizon,' with Mark Wahlberg.

Trace Adkins is an awesome actor.  Give him just the right role, and his presence on the big screen can be felt.  I loved him in 'The Lincoln Lawyer' with Matthew McConaughey and in the Western, 'The Virginian'.

If you're a fan of westerns, good news, Trace is back in the saddle with a new film, 'Stagecoach: the Texas Jack Story.'  The story is said to be full of revenge and redemption.

According to the official press release, the movie is about "a frontier thriller loosely based on the real-life exploits of 19th-century American outlaw Nathaniel Reed.  After retiring from his life as an infamous outlaw, livery owner Reed (Adkins) quietly leads an honest existence on the Texas frontier with his devoted wife, Laura Lee.  But his gun-slinging past suddenly comes back to haunt him when he learns that Calhoun (Kim Coates), the man he once maimed during a stagecoach robbery, is now an unhinged U.S. Marshal who'll stop at nothing to exact vengeance.  After a violent shootout brings tragic consequences, Nathaniel partners with his original gang, returns to his lawless ways and becomes Texas Jack: the most wanted outlaw in the West."

The movie also stars Judd Nelson from 'The Breakfast Club' and 'St. Elmo's Fire' fame.  Look for it at selected theaters, November 4th.  Keep your fingers crossed it comes to theaters in the Greater Binghamton area.  A good Western is just what this area needs.
