November brings some important projects that will hopefully help our Southern Tier community.  The Food-A-Bago for Broome County CHOW kicks off today with Traci Taylor from the HAWK Morning Show collecting your non-perishable food donations thru November 9th at Weis Market, Upper Front Street in Binghamton and later on, Rich Birdsall will also be out at the camper with his afternoon show live at Weis.  Another important project under the Townsquare Cares banner helps military families right here in our community.

Beginning today, you will hear Glenn and Traci from the HAWK Morning Show thanking Binghamton area enlisted men and women and their families who sacrifice so much for all of us all year long. Now through Veterans Day - November 11th, we’re supporting “Townsquare Cares for Military Families.”

Here’s how you can help. Townsquare Cares is a non-profit organization that betters the lives of troops and their families 24/7, 365 days a year. We all owe our deepest gratitude to these people. So the HAWK is making that easy for you to do. Go to our website, 981TheHawk.com, and make a cash donation.  Any amount helps. Townsquare Cares will put everyone’s donations together and get money to families of actively deployed troops, right here in our area to help those families have a brighter, easier holiday season.

On behalf of Glenn, Traci, Rich, Sam and the entire HAWK staff, we thank you for your help as we continue to keep our military in our thoughts and prayers.
