Town Mails Back Poop Not Picked Up By Owners

A couple weeks ago Traci was talking about how much she dislikes that people let their dog poop on people’s lawns and that they don’t clean it up.  Maybe we need to do what they do in Spain....at least one of the towns.

The town of Brunete is getting back at dog owners who don’t clean up after their pet. People are sent out to look for dog owners who are letting their dog plop their poop anywhere they want.  Then they start talking to dog owners and find out their dog’s name and breed. The town tracks down owners’ identities using a registered pet database.

The not picked up dog poo is collected by the volunteer and then put in a box marked “lost property” and mailed back to the owner. The smelly stunt has actually helped reduce the quantity of poop by 70 percent! This town doesn’t take crap from anyone.
