What are your favorite memories of summer?  If you are on the younger side, you are still forming your favorite memories but I bet you have a couple or even a long list of things you love about the season.

I have many wonderful memories of growing up in Binghamton, including catching fireflies with my huge buttterfly net, Camp Arbak, begging my Dad to buy me "Mexican Jumping Beans" --I know it's not politically correct, but hey, that was the name of them-- and leaving Binghamton for Wildwood New Jersey at 5am for summer vacation.

The Farmers' Almanac asked the question as to what were the favorite summer time memories and here were the top responses:

  • Sitting on the front porch glider with a cold Coca Cola
  • Going fishing, swimming and having bonfires
  • Eating summer foods like hot dogs over coals and making s'mores (yum!)
  • Eating watermelon outside
  • Catching night crawlers in the middle of the night
  • Running for the ice cream truck
  • Riding your bike all over the place and knowing you had to come home when the streetlights came on

So what are some of your favorite summer memories?  Please share below.
