Forbes Magazine just released it's list of the wealthiest of the wealthy.  It looks like another 200 people became billionaires over the past 12 months.  We now have a record 1,426 billionaires on the planet.

All the billionaires on the list saw their net worth increase in the last year.  So I guess the economy has helped fatten the bank accounts of people that we only wish we knew.  Scary.

For the fourth year in a row, Mexico's telecommunications and real estate giant Carlos Slim Helu tops the list with 73 billion, followed by Microsoft's Bill Gates and Zara fashion founder, Amancio Ortega. Warren Buffet drops out of the top 3 to number 4.  Don't feel too bad for Warren though.

In the top 20, there's Wal-Mart's Walton family.  Here's something to think about the next time you open your wallet at Wal-Mart, the Walton Family dominate the top 20 with a net worth of 107.3 billion.
