What started as a small event has turned into a worldwide celebration. I'm talking about International Beer Day, which is celebrated in roughly 207 cities, 50 countries and on 6 continents.

International Beer Day was founded in 2007 and is now celebrated on the first Friday of every August.

The creators of International Beer Day have declared that it holds three specific purposes and those include getting together with friends to enjoy the taste of beer, to celebrate people who brew and serve beer and to celebrate "the beers of all nations together on a single day."

Whether you consider yourself a lager lover or a cask ale connoisseur, there's no excuse not to raise a glass to another Beer Day!
