The first of four new casinos in New York could be open by the end of November. This after state gambling regulators gave final approval to regulations for table games.

The state gaming commission adopted the rules yesterday (11/1). The regulations govern card shuffling and dealing as well as the details of games including poker, roulette and craps.

They now have to be published in the state register before they can take effect. The first facility to open should be Tioga Downs in Nichols.

The race track and electronic gambling facility is expanding into a full Las Vegas style casino. According to the owner Jeff Gural, the casino could open later this month.

The great news is that with the expansion, that means more jobs locally. They are looking for Experienced Dealers, Casino Supervisors, Surveillance, Operators, Hosts and Slot Technicians.
