Tioga County Bridge Is Closed Until Further Notice

New York State Department of Transportation inspectors say the Park Settlement Road Bridge over Owego Creek in Candor can’t handle a load of more than three tons.

The span was “red flagged” during a July 8 inspection.  The next day, the bridge was closed until further notice according to town officials.

Authorities have said the problems with the bridge were not weather related.
